Dictyaulus romani Murillo, Tabachnick & Menshenina, 2013

Dictyaulus romani Murillo, Tabachnick & Menshenina, 2013: 2 , figs. 1–2.

The name of this species collected off the Newfoundland coast, Canada, 46.1375°N 46.8463°W, depth 1332 m (holotype MNCN 1.04/8) is unavailable, because it violates ICZN art. 8.5.3 as amended for publications distributed only in electronic form, not in printed form ( ICZN 2012). The journal in which the species was described appears only in electronic form and in that case registration of the species in Zoobank (https://zoobank.org/) must appear in the article before publication, and this was omitted. Authors were encouraged to correct this, but to no avail. I here establish a new name for the species, Dictyaulus romani nom.nov. to replace the unavailable name. The specific name romani should have been ‘ romanae’ because the name was given to honour Mrs. Esther Roman (ICZN art.31.1.2), but this cannot be corrected (ICZN art. 32.5.1). For the description of this new species and type material see Murillo et al. 2013: 2–4, figs. 1–2.
