H o s t r e c o r d: Solitary egg-larval parasitoid which lays its eggs into eggs of Spodoptera littoralis ( Lepidoptera : Noctuidae ) ( TOMKINS et al. 1987; WHARTON et al. 1998) and Spodoptera exigua ( MODARRES AWAL 1997; SHOJAI 1998; KHANJANI 2004); KHANJANI (2006) reported Phthorimaea operculella (ZELLER) ( Lepidoptera : Gelechiidae ), Agrotis segetum (SCHIFF.) and Spodoptera exigua ( Lepidoptera : Noctuidae ) as the hosts of C. inanitus (L.). AYDO DU & BEYARSLAN (2007, 2011) reported 16 lepidopteran species ( Noctuidae , Phycitidae , Pyralidae , Pyraustidae and Tortricidae ) as the hosts of Chelonus inanitus (L.). This species was also reported as a parasitoid of Etiella zinckenella (TREITSCHKE) (Pyralidae) ( BALEVSKI 1998). WATANABE (1937) reported C. inanitus as the parasitoid of a number of hosts in Japan including, Oligia literosa HOWARD, Longalatedes elymi TREITSCHKE , Sesamia aemulana SCHÄGFFER and S. tripoliana BARRETT ( Lepidoptera : Noctuidae ).
