The genus Torodora Meyrick is the most diverse group of the subfamily Torodorinae , and is characterized by the male genitalia, which lack a bridge-like band connecting tegumen and valve, and by possessing a well-developed uncus directed caudally and spinous zones presented on the abdominal tergites in both sexes ( Gozmány 1978; Park 2010a). The wing venation is generally defined with R 5 present, M 2 and M 3 free, and CuA 1 and CuA 2 stalked in the forewing, but this cannot often be used as an inherent character separating it from its allies because of considerable interspecific variations. In addition, the male genitalia are generally similar to those of Thubana Walker or Deltoplastis Meyrick. As a consequence, the combination of wing venation and genital characters should be considered to define for these allied genera.
