Type species: Polyspilota heteroptera Werner, 1906: 365 . Holotype (♂): Cameroon, SMNS.
Diagnosis. Large-sized; ventral forecoxa and forefemur with two to three black stripes respectively; dorsal spines of forecoxa very tiny; the edge of pronotum near supracoxal sulcus distinctly expanded; metazona constricted anteriorly, gradually widen toward the posterior end; tergite X deeply incised and bilobed.
Diversity and distribution. Four species in the genus. Distributions include China, Vietnam, Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Mindanao ( Schwarz & Roy 2018b).
