16. E. carlota Gauld ( Fig. 10b)
E. carlota Gauld, 1988: 185 . Holotype ♀, Cuba (USNM).
Gauld (1988) described the species based on a single female from Central Cuba. Revision of material housed in Cuban collections have shown that species is distributed across the all island, and from about the sea level up to over 1200 m.a.s.l. Males are quite similar to females in coloration. The series I was able to study showed some colour differences regarding Gauld original description, either in the interocellar area (brown instead of black) and the metasoma (rather orangebrown with tips dark in some specimens). On the other hand the species is rather uniform. An aditional character to separate this species of its close sisterspecies pair Enicospilus dajaboni Gauld (only known from Dominican Republic) is that males present sternites 5–9 bearing long semierect pubescence (7–9 in E. dajaboni ).
