Ecological category. Anecic.

Habitat. In forest and cultivated soils.

Zoogeographical distribution type. Central European (montane).

Distribution in Croatia. Only one record in the western part of the Continental region, Rucner & Rucner (1971): Vukovo selo.

Ecological category. Epigeic (epi-endogeic).

Habitat. In forest and cultivated soils, meadows, pastures.

Zoogeographical distribution type. Peregrine.

Distribution in Croatia. One of the most common earthworm species in Croatia, spread all over the territory, in all three regions. Szüts (1919): Bjelolasica, Delnice, Jablanac, Jasenovac, Klek, Zagreb; Rucner & Rucner (1971): Cesargradska gora, Merag, Rozga, Vukovo selo; Šapkarev (1972, 1979): Zagreb, Beli Manastir, Batina, Kopačevo, Korenička Kapela, Novska, Petlovac, Popovac, Split, Virovitica, Zaprešić ; Mršić (1984, 1986, 1987a, 1988): Baška, Bijele stijene, Jankovac (Papuk), Mosor, Rogoljica (Psunj), Sljeme; Jelić (1985): Sakadaško jezero, Podunavlje; Szederjesi (2013): Glavotok (Krk); Hackenberger: Stara Drava (Osijek), Vojlovica (Papuk), Sokoline (Papuk), Lapovac, Osijek, Križnica, Slavonski Brod, Koška, Čakovec, Donji Miholjac, Potok Musulinski, Jasenak, Mikleuš.
