Remarks
This species is superficially similar to A. amplimacula but can be distinguished by the forewing with the flabelliform basal patch, and a subrectangular dark grayish blotch marking between postmedian and subterminal fasciae, the absent uncus, the kidneyshaped cucullus in the male genitalia, the broad and large papilla analis longer than the apophysis anterioris, and the lip-shaped sterigma in the female genitalia.
This species has not been documented since its original description by Meyrick (1935). The female is described for the first time in science.
