Typus subgeneris: Pseudokuzicus (Pseudokuzicus) pieli ( Tinkham, 1943)

Body small. Fastigium of vertex conical, dorsally furrowed, apex obtuse. Apical segment of maxillary palpi almost as long as subapical one. Pronotum short, with unconspicuous humeral sinus. Thoracic auditory spiracle large, kidney-shaped. Tibial tympana open at both sides. Tegmina abbreviated, not reaching apex of posterior femora or slightly extending the base of posterior tibiae, surpassing or slightly shorter than hind wings. Most part of stridulatory area of male tegmina covered by pronotum. Posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergite with a pair of symmetrical processes or small colliculose processes. Cerci bifurcate, curved inwards. Subgenital plate large, styli present or absent. Male genitalia with a pair of prominent titillators. Female cerci conical, ovipositor stout at base, apical half moderately curved upwards, apex acute, ventral valves with a apical hook. Body multicolor (see figs A-E and A'-E').
