Distribution. Czech Republic and Switzerland ( Negrobov & Naglis 2016; Naglis et al. 2016b). The species has a wider European distribution range (M. Pollet, unpubl. data).
Status in CZ. Previously recorded only from Vráž in southern Bohemia ( Naglis et al. 2016b). The first records from Moravia are presented herein. One of the two specimens listed above from Podyjí (Liščí skála) was erroneously identified as M. impigra and recorded as such by Olejníček et al. (2005).
Ecology. Mainly found on trunks of deciduous trees (mainly poplars) at forest margins, and only exceptionally on conifers (Horšovský Týn, pine tree in predominantly deciduous forest).
