Material examined: 1 ex, India: Uttarakhand, Tehri Garhwal, Dhaunlti , 1.xi.2000, P. Mukhopadhyay .

Diagnosis: Black. Abdomen strongly iridescent, the posterior margin of the ventral segments narrowly reddish; thorax multipunctate at the sides. Antennae black, the first joint more or less testaceous, the last often obscurely reddish. Legs reddish yellow, the tibiae often a little infuscate. Length 6–8 mm.

Distribution: India: Uttarakhand (Tehri Garhwal, Dhaunlti, Dehradun), Sikkim, West Bengal (Darjeeling). Ex. ‘in cut grass and sometimes in dry dung’. Elsewhere: Sri Lanka.
