Material. Holotype: ♂, E. Kazakhstan, Tarbagatai distr. , Zhagalbaily Mts. , 7 km NE Kyzylkezek vill., Bugaz riv. Valley, 700 m, 47°55’N ; 82°04’E, 23.vii.2011, R.V. Yakovlev leg. ( ZISP); paratypes: 2 ♀, same data as holotype (RYB, MWM). GoogleMaps
Description. Male. Length of fore wing 16 mm. Thorax dark grey. Tegula and patagium grey. Antenna simple, not pectinate. Fore wing rather wide, dark grey, unicolorous, with reticulated pattern of thin undulated lines throughout wing, apex rounded. Hind wing dark grey, without pattern. Fringe grey, unicolorous.
Male genitalia. Uncus short, subtriangular; gnathos arms of medium length, thick; gnathos medium-sized, covered with fine spikes. Valva long, narrow, subapically sharply tapered, finger-like process in middle third of costal edge; transtilla process short, with very thick base and uncinately tapered apex. Juxta small, saddle-like, with two lateral processes of medium length with parallel edges. Saccus small, semicircular. Phallus a little shorter than valva, slightly curved in proximal third, vesica aperture in dorso-apical position, length ½ of phallus, vesica without cornuti.
Female. Length of fore wing 21 mm. Fore wing grey with fine line drawing of black strokes and thin undulated bands in discal and postdiscal areas. Hind wing grey with blackish scales along vein lines.
Diagnosis. The new species differs from the similar species, D. arenicola ( Staudinger, 1879) ( Figs 9 View FIGURES 9 – 23 ¯12) by the following features:
- the fore wing pattern of thin undulated bands on dark grey background throughout the wing; D. arenicola has blurred brown spots in discal area;
- distal ¼ of the valva is sharply narrowing; in D. arenicola , it is of even width; - long finger-like process on the costal edge of the valva; in D. arenicola , process is shorter.
Etymology. The new species is named after Vyacheslav Doroshkin (Chelyabinsk), Russian entomologist who participated in the expedition to Eastern Kazakhstan in 2011.
