Exoprosopa sytshuana Paramonov, 1928: 274 View in CoL (96). Type locality: China (Sichuan).
Diagnosis. Wing with vein dm-cu with two spur-veins, one directed basally, one directed distally; wing with dark brown spots near all cross veins. Epandrium subtriangular, cercus well exposed in lateral view; epiphallus widely clubbed, with a round tip in dorsal view.
Redescription. Male. Body length 9–13 mm, wing length 10–14 mm.
Head black with brown pollen; ocellar tubercle brown. Hairs on head mostly black; frons with erect black hairs, face with dense erect black hairs; occiput with short black hairs and sparse yellowish scales, and with dense erect black hairs on edge. Antenna black, except first flagellomere brown; scape nearly three times longer than wide, with dense long black hairs; pedicel nearly as long as wide, with short black hairs; first flagellomere cone-shaped, bare, with a two-segmented stylus slightly shorter than first flagellomere. Antennal ratio: 3:1:4. Proboscis black with short black hairs; palpus dark brown with black hairs.
Thorax black with grey pollen. Hairs on thorax black and yellow, bristles black; postpronotal lobe with long black and yellow hairs, mesonotum with row of long yellow hairs at anterior margin and three long black lateral bristles near base of wing, postalar callus with four black bristles; thorax with black and yellow scales on back but without yellow scales at middle. Scutellum almost with yellow scales entirely but with black scales mid-anteriorly; scutellum with five black bristles each side. Legs dark brown with black scales except fore leg bare. Hairs on legs mostly black, bristles black. Femora with sparse long black hairs; tibiae and tarsi with short black hairs. Mid femur with five av apically; hind femur with nine av apically. Mid tibia with eight ad, eight pd, eight av and seven pv; hind tibia with seven ad, seven pd, five av and eight pv. Wing ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1 – 5 ) with mostly infuscate, hyaline posteriorly; vein dm-cu with two spur-veins, one short and directed basally, another long and directed distally; wing with dark brown spots near all cross veins. Base of vein C with brush-like long black hairs. Wing with basicosta strong; vein r-m nearly at middle of discal cell. Halteres yellowish.
Abdomen black with black scales. Hairs on abdomen mostly black; dorsum with dense long black hairs laterally except tergite 1 with yellowish hairs laterally; dorsum with dense black recumbent scales. Sternites with dense recumbent black scales.
Male genitalia ( Figs. 30–35 View FIGURES 30 – 35 ). Epandrium subtriangular, with long black bristles apically, nearly as long as high; cercus well exposed in lateral view; epandrium subquadrate, nearly as long as wide in dorsal view; gonocoxae with many black hairs apically, distinctly narrowing apically in ventral view; gonostylus thick at base, obtuse at tip and slightly curved at middle in lateral view; epiphallus widely clubbed with a round tip in dorsal view, distiphallus short in lateral view.
Female. Body length 12 mm, wing length 12 mm. Similar to male, but tergites 1–3 with yellowish hairs laterally.

VII. 1987, Qiang Li; 6 females, CHINA: Yunnan, Xiaguan, Zhonghefeng (N 25°35’ E 100°13’), 19. VIII. 1987, Qiang Li; 1 female, CHINA: Yunnan, Dali, Cangshan (N 25°42’ E 100°10’), 30. VII. 2006, Gang Yao.
