D i s t r i b u t i o n: Georgia, north-eastern Turkey. Following the distribution of the food plant (Abies nordmanniana).
R e m a r k s: this is a local species closely related to Synanthedon cephiformis (OCHSENHEIMER 1808) but differs in the females by lacking the yellow anal tuft. The relation to Synanthedon spuleri (FUCHS 1908) needs further investigation.
