19. Celmisia glabrescens Petrie (1915: 50) View in CoL .
Type :— NEW ZEALAND. Steward Island , Meadow near Freshwater River, 100 ft., D.L. Poppelwell s.n. (lectotype WELT SP2145 ! designated by Allan 1961: 630; isolectotype WELT SP2145 B!) .
Notes:— WELT SP2145 and WELT SP2145B hold original labels from the author’s (D. Petrie) herbarium, which indicate almost the same information as in the protologue (e.g., those labels indicate the altitude, 100 ft.).
Four additional specimens that indicate D.L. Poppelwell as the collector and the Freshwater River as the locality could be interpreted as isolectotypes. However, there is another material from “Ruggedy” (Ruggedy Flat or Ruggedy Mountains, in the headwaters of the Freshwater River) collected by D.L. Poppelwell (WELT SP096137!). This indicates that D.L. Poppelwell could have made several collections along the Freshwater River.
