39. Celmisia prorepens Petrie (1887: 326) View in CoL .
Type:— NEW ZEALAND. South Island, Old Man Range , Otago, 4,500 feet, D. Petrie s.n. (lectotype AK 9762 ! designated here).
Notes:— Petrie mentioned two syntypes, the one selected here as lectotype and another one from “ Mt. St. Bathans , 5000 feet ”, which has not been found .
Allan (1961: 629) designated a lectotype as follows: Plants from “Old Man Range” grown in Dunedin, D. Petrie s.n. (WELT SP2151!). However, this specimen does not match the protologue. Therefore, I propose a new lectotypification (AK 9762) which matches the protologue and supersedes the previous one (ICN Art. 9.19, Turland et al. 2018).
