Type locality. England ( Kew Garden, soil from Lagos, Nigeria).

Type material. NHM London , U.K.

Records from Vietnam. Widely known from various parts of Vietnam ( Thai 2000b).

Distribution. A cosmopolitan species; reported from England (Kew Gardens), Myanmar, India, East and West Africa, Egypt, Sudan, Abyssinia, Madagascar, Zanzibar, Puerto Rico, Bonaco Isl. ( Blakemore 2002)

Vietnamese name. Giun gordio tinh tế.

Remark. It is an introduced species, and probably originates from tropical regions of Africa ( Gates 1972). In Vietnam, it is usually found in wet soils of disturbed habitats ( Thai 2000b).
