Type material. ZMUM (W.243), Russia.

Examined material. 4 C ( SORC -V.004.01), Trang Dinh, Lang Son, 27/01/1990 .

Records from Vietnam. Lang Son (Trang Dinh) ; Vinh Phuc (Tam Dao) ; Gia Lai (Buon Luoi) ; Da Nang (Ba Na NP) ( Thai 1984c; Le 1995a; Huynh 2005a; Pham 2010).

Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.

Vietnamese name. Giun cận luxus.

Remarks. Blakemore (2007a, 2008b) considered it as " species inquirenda ". Material was re-examined and absence of male copulatory pouches and hence placement of the species in Amynthas is confirmed here.
