Distribution. Cosmopolitan species; also recorded from Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia ( Sumatra), China, Taiwan ( Gates 1972; Easton 1981; Blakemore 2002).

Remarks. The species seems to be widely distributed in Vietnam, except in the southernmost part. Thai (1983) proposed a new subgenus Terrata of the genus Pheretima , and placed the species under the new subgenus.
