Type locality. Vietnam (Ninh Binh: Cuc Phuong ).

Type material. ZMUM (W.251), Russia.

Records from Vietnam. Lao Cai (Sa Pa) ; Son La (Moc Chau) ; Ninh Binh (Cuc Phuong NP) ; Nghe An (Que Phong) ( Thai 1982; Do 1984).

Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.

Vietnamese name. Giun nhú đực hình vú.

Remarks. Thai (1983) proposed a new subgenus Terrata of the genus Pheretima , and placed the species under the new subgenus. Blakemore (2007a, 2008b) considered it as " species inquirenda ", but further examination was not possible because all previously collected material has been lost.
