Type locality. Ha Tinh (Ky Anh).

Type material. ZMUM (W.225), Russia.

Examined material. 6 C (CTU-EW.065.01) Thach Ban, Phu Thuy , Ha Tinh, 23/4/1993.

Records from Vietnam. Ha Tinh (Ky Anh; Phu Thuy) ; Quang Binh (Le Thuy) ; Da Nang (Hoa Vang; Son Tra; Ba Na NP) ; Quang Nam (Tra My) ( Thai 1984b; Nguyen 1994; Pham 1995c, 2010).

Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.

Vietnamese name. Giun kỳ tây.

Remarks. Blakemore (2007a, 2008b) considered it as " species inquirenda ". Material was re-examined and absence of male copulatory pouches and hence placement of the species in Amynthas is confirmed here.
