Chelicorophium maeoticum (SOWINSKY, 1898) View in CoL

In the sample of 1943 at Szeged (River Tisza), among hundreds of C. sowinskyi , 11 specimens of C. maeoticum including gravid females were found, representing the first and so far only record of this species in Hungary ( Fig. 1e View Fig ). The species did not occur in recent samples, thus it can be regarded as extinct in the country.
