Description of Corynebacterium amycolatum View in CoL View at ENA
CAU 1619
Cells are Gram-stain-positive and rod-shaped. Colonies are irregular, flat, wavy and white colored after incubation for 2-3 days on BHI at 37℃. Positive for nitrate reduction and glucose fermentation; weakly positive for esculin hydrolysis; but negative for indole production, arginine dihydrolase, urease, gelatin hydrolysis, β-galactosidase and cytochrome oxidase. D-Glucose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid are utilized as sole carbon sources; but not L-arabinose and capric acid. Strain CAU 1619 About CAU (= NIBRBAC 000506277) was isolated from a healthy human urine sample from Seoul. The GenBank accession number for the 16S rRNA gene sequence of strain CAU1619 About CAU is MW020 537 .
