Acrotelsa collaris (Fabricius, 1793)

Studied material.

Two young specimens from Khan cave, Khon, Fars province, Iran. 10.IX.2015, one deposited in UCO, Ref. Z2517, and the other in ZM-CBSU #C2637.

Distribution and habitat.

This pantropical species has been previously reported from Iran ( Irish 1995, Kahrarian et al. 2014), but never in a subterranean habitat. The two specimens were collected in the dark zone of the cave (hypogean), where humidity is greater than 90% and the soil was wet, mixed with piles of guano.
