Specimens examined. Las Galeras (Peninsula de Samaná), 3-X-2008, four females and four males on Solanum View in CoL sp. ( Solanaceae View in CoL ); one male on Waltheria indica View in CoL L. ( Malvaceae View in CoL ).

Remarks. This species has previously been recorded from Guadeloupe, Guyana, La Desirade, Les Saintes, Marie Galante, Martinique, Puerto Rico, Saint Martin and Trinidad-Tobago. The measurements of the specimens collected are very similar to the holotype and those reported by Kreiter & Moraes (1997) from mites collected in Guadeloupe.
