Material examined. Identification. Adults have a reticulate dorsal pattern with black speckles on a green to gray ground color. The ventrals are black and yellow, but there is no black on the subcaudals. There are 17 rows of smooth dorsal scales at midbody, 1 preocular, 8 or 9 supralabials, and a divided cloacal plate. Ventral scales are <150, and there are 55– 78 subcaudals.

Habitat. One juvenile specimen was found crossing the road during the day in secondary forest and an adult was found in a pasture.
