Redescription. Body brownish black; legs and antenna slightly shallower. Forebody sparsely pubescent, coarsely punctate and moderately striate, intervals glabrous. Body length 3.75 mm.
Female: Head (Fig. 17-1B, 17-2A) slightly broader, but narrower than pronotum. Disc convex, vertex flat with large punctures, mid-longitudinal sulcus deep, with two shallow para-lateral impressions. Supra-antennal ridge with margin incrassate. Occipital suture slightly curved forward in middle. Clypeus nearly trapezoidal, about 1/2 of total head length, slightly convex, hind half coriaceous, with a few big punctures, with anterior margin straight. Epistomal suture with lateral portions obliquely inward, running backward to level of anterior margin of eyes. Temples slightly longer than eyes. Antenna filiform, segment IV globular, segments VI–X short and transverse, with ultimate article stilliform. Neck with smooth area carrying a few large punctures, smaller than those on head.
Pronotum (Fig. 17-1C, 17-2A) slightly transverse, broadest at near anterior 1/4; disc slightly convex, with less longitudinal sculptures and very large punctures, interval several times as puncture diameter and glabrous; midlongitudinal sulcus, deep, broader in anterior part and narrowing gradually to posterior margin, with two shallow, straight paramedial sulci, bounded by obtuse longitudinal carina; two shallow para-lateral depressions close to lateral margins. Anterior margin emarginate in middle and near lateral. Anterior angles produced. Lateral margin obviously crenate, posterior angles not observable. Scutellum with crest-shaped impression, sharp with median lobe. Elytra densely sculptured and punctured, not pubescent; lateral margin curved and posterior margins truncate. Abdomen coriaceous, covered with punctures and pubescence.
Sternite VII (Fig. 17-1E, 17-2B) with posterior margin nearly straight, and bearing long setae laterally. Sternite VIII (Fig. 17-1F, 17-2C) with posterior margin broadly rounded and protruded gradually. Spermatheca (Fig. 17-1G, 17-2D) with base bulb-like, with apical part clavate and slightly curved.
Distribution. Japan.
