DISTRIBUTION: Endemic to Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina states) .
HABITAT: Unknown.
COMMENT: Balfour-Browne (1975) suggests that this species could be parthenogenetic, after studying 106 specimens from three localities, all of them females.
