Rimularia campestris Kantvilas & Elix (2007: 319) View in CoL .
Type:— AUSTRALIA, Tasmania, Pontville Small Arms Range Complex , 42°41’S 147°16’E, on basalt boulders in grassland-herbfield, 50 m alt., 18 June 2003, G. Kantvilas 257/03 (holotype − HO!) GoogleMaps .
A rare saxicolous species in Tasmania and New South Wales. It is the only species of the genus known to contain confriesiic acid. Its unusual morphology and chemistry could indicate that it represents a distinct lineage, with Lambiella as the current “genus of best fit”. A full description is given by Kantvilas & Elix (2007).
