Revised diagnosis for the genus: Idiosoma rounded-oval, large dorsal shield bearing four to five glandularia; dorsal furrow wide with numerous glandularia; venter completely covered by unified ventral shield; Vgl-2 to - 4 in dorsal furrow (not fused with ventral shield); suture between Cx-III and -IV incomplete, other coxal suture lines well developed; Cxgl-4 centrally on Cx-III; caudal margins of Cx-IV characteristically rounded, caudally reaching up to or beyond narrow genital bay; Cx-IV dorso-laterally extended beyond Cx-I to -III, which are fused; three pairs of acetabula; legs-I to -III with simple claws without or with simple clawlets; leg- IV without claws, with two peg-like terminal setae, no long sub-terminal seta; swimming hairs absent; palp typical anisitsiellid, P1 without dorsal seta.
