Subgenus Platymamersopsis
Remarks: All African species described so far are characterised by simple ventral clawlets on the claws on leg-I to -III, whereas the two species described from India bear comb-like ventral clawlets on the claws on leg-I to -III. The species can therefore be split into the species-groups of the nordenskioeldi -like species (simple clawlets, until now only known from Africa, named after P. nordenskioeldi K. Viets, 1914 from Cameroon) and the mysorensis- like species (comb-like ventral clawlets, until now only known from India, named after P.mysorensis Cook, 1967 ). In the following three new species of each of these groups are described from Madagascar.
