DISTRIBUTION. — Southeast Africa, Gulf of Aden, Maldive Islands, Japan, Philippines, Vanuatu, Fiji, Wallis and Futuna. Bathymetric range: formerly recorded from 290 to 797 m ( Dijkstra & Maestrati 2008: 83), here extended to 880 m.
