This insect is very probably the worker of P. militaris   LSID ; and possibly the carinatus   LSID of Fabricius may not be identical; in every particular it agrees with the description, but has in addition a short tooth at the base of the spines on the node of the peduncle; but this might very easily have been overlooked.
