Choeridiona semiviridis Pic 1935: 17 [Syntypes (3): Tonkin: Hoa-Binh (MNHN)]. Descarpentries & Villiers 1959: 504 (type specimens).
Chaeridiona semiviridis Pic. Uhmann 1958: 252, 1964: 466 View in CoL (catalog); Würmli 1976: 402 (revision); Kimoto 1999: 110 (distribution).
Head, pronotum, and elytra yellowish-ochre with medial metallic green spot; legs yellow; antennae reddishyellow with apical 4 antennomeres darker. Head: wedge-shaped; acutely produced between antennal bases; carinate medially; vertex deeply, densely punctate. Antenna: 2x length of head and pronotum combined; antennomere I robust; II ¾ length of I; III–V subequal in length, each 1.25 length of I; VI–IX shorter than preceding; XI pointed at apex. Pronotum: strongly convex; lateral margin slightly sinuate, rounded in middle; anterior angle with acute tooth; densely, coarsely punctate; medial longitudinal sulcus present; pronotal width 0.9–1.0 mm; pronotal length 0.7–0.9 mm. Scutellum: quadrate; punctate. Elytron: distinctly expanding apically; exterior apical angle angulate; humerus angulate, slightly produced; puncture rows 5–7 in deep fossa, punctures confused; interspaces 2 and 6 carinate apically; carina of interspace 4 interrupted in middle; interspace 8 carinate; elytral width 0.9–1.0 mm; elytral length 2.4–2.9 mm. Venter: pro-, meso-, and metasterna punctate laterally. Total length: 3.6–4.1 mm.
Comparative notes. This species can be distinguished from all other Chaeridiona by the angulate exterior apical angle of the elytra and the metallic medial spot on the elytra.
