Sonan (1935a) described this species based on the holotype Ƥ and 5 Ƥ and 1 3 paratypes. All these type specimens are in TARI and their label data given below agreed with those given in the original description.

PARATYPES: 1 Ƥ, same collection label as holotype; 1 Ƥ (possibly pre-adult pupa taken from a nest) “Hori / 20.XI.1932 / Col. J. Sonan”; 1 Ƥ “Hassenzan / 23.X.1932 / K.
