Other published localities: Salman (1983), Massa (1994), Tumbrinck (2006), Ünal (2006).
Distribution: This species is represented in Cyprus, Turkey and Syria. The mainland part of the range covers the most southern part of Turkey (Gaziantep and Hatay provinces) and nearby territories of Syria (Latakia).
Remarks: The most important autapomorphies of Eupholidoptera cypria are the typical triangular and apically pointed lobes of female subgenital plate. Salman (1983) discovered a population possessing this typical characteristic in Turkey and described it as a different subspecies ( Eupholidoptera cypria turcica Salman, 1983: 328 ). During this study some specimens from Latakia, Syria showing characteristics of the Anatolian population were examined in NHM.
