Summary. The genus Oedoparena Curran, 1934 ( Diptera : Dryomyzidae ) with species
O. minor Suwa, 1981 is recorded from Russia (Kuril Islands: Shikotan Island) for the first time. Diagnosis of the genus and description of the species are given.
