2.1. Diverse sesquiterpenes in the gametophytes of R. Lindenbergiana View in CoL View at ENA
In this study, axenically cultured R. lindenbergiana plants were used for chemical and molecular experiments. For chemical profiling, plants were taken from axenic culture and subjected to organic extraction. The extracts were analyzed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). A total of 25 terpenoids were detected ( Fig. 1 View Fig ), and retention indices of these compounds were calculated ( Table 1 View Table 1 ). All of them are sesquiterpenes, including 7 unidentified compounds. (E,E)-α- farnesene/ β- curcumene and (Z)-β- bisabolene were among the most abundant constituents ( Fig. 1 View Fig ).
