Stictane fuscus Bucsek, 2014 , Erebidae View in CoL , Arctiinae ( Lithosiini View in CoL , Arctiini ) of Malay Peninsula-Malaysia (Supplementum): pl. 4, fig. 54. TL: Malaysia (Pahang distr.).
Redescription ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 1 – 7 a, 7b). Wingspan 12-13 mm. Antenna dark gray, bipectinate in male, filiform in female. Head dark brown. Thorax dark brown. Ground color of forewing fuscous gray, with pale basal area; antemedian series of spots diffused from middle part; antemedian series to median line gray; slightly curved outward medial dark brown band very broad; three dark discoidal spots; postmedian series of dark spots convex outwardly; with dark patch before apex and below apex; terminal series of spots fuscous; fringe fuscous gray. Hindwing gray; apex fuscous; terminal line fuscous; fringe fuscous.
Male genitalia ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 14 – 17 ). Uncus long, slender; valva stout, apex triangular, with slim seta before apex; saccular process longer than valva, with inwardly bent projection at apex; juxta broad and oval; aedeagus vesica with scobinate zone, one large and spine-shaped cornutus, one bundle of 2-3 spins, and one large, irregular sclerotized plate.
Female genitalia ( Fig. 17 View FIGURES 14 – 17 ). Papillae anales triangular; apophyses posteriores about three times as long as apophyses anteriores, both apophyses slender; ductus bursae membranous, straight, stout; corpus bursae globular, with a large, crescentic-shaped band of strongly sclerotized spines and a small bundle of strongly sclerotized spineshaped signa.
