Type material. Holotype female at SAIMR, paratypes: females, males at SAIMR, UGA. Hosts and distribution. Gallinula chloropus (type host) ( Gruiformes : Rallidae ), type-locality: REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA, Johannesburg, Transvaal ( Kethley 1970).

Habitat. Unknown.
