TYPE LOCALITY: Australia, New South Wales .
DISTRIBUTION: Australia: SE Queensland, E New South Wales, SE South Australia, and Victoria. Introduced on Kangaroo Isl, South Australia and at Yanchep, Western Australia.
STATUS: Vulnerable.
SYNONYMS: adustus, flindersii, fuscus , koala, subiens, victor.
