Oribatella malaya Balogh et Mahunka, 1974: 3 View in CoL (1 ex.), 4 (2 ex.), 9 (3 ex.), 10 (1 ex.), 11 (1 ex.). Distribution: Oriental region. Remarks. Specimens from the Philippines are morphologically similar to the original description ( BALOGH & MAHUNKA 1974) and redescription ( MAHUNKA 1987) based on materials from Malaysia, but differ by the presence of short (versus medium-sized to long) separation of lamellae anteromedially as in representatives of the genus Ophidiotrichus Grandjean, 1953 View in CoL , comparatively thin, hardly thickened (versus thick) lamellar seta and four or five (versus six to eight) teeth on tutorial cusp.
