Type material. CHINA, Yunnan: Holotype ♂, Linjiapu (25.29°N, 98.70°E), Tengchong , 2144 m, 15.VIII.2014, leg. KJ Teng et al., slide No. GW 15084 GoogleMaps . Paratypes. 1♂ 1♀, same data as holotype, slide No. GW 15085 GoogleMaps ♀; 1♀, Nanhang, Baoshan , 2009 m, 17.VIII.2014, leg. KJ Teng et al .; 2♀, Dajie Town, Jingdong , 20–22.VIII.2009, leg. XC Du, slide No. GW 13006 ; 1♀, Xiaodifangxin Village, Tengchong , 2116 m, 12.VIII.2014, leg. KJ Teng et al., slide No. NKUGW019 .

Diagnosis. The new species is diagnostic by the forewing with three hook-shaped ochreous yellow stripes; in the male genitalia by the elongate elliptical cucullus, the cornutus consisting of a tuft of differently sized spines; in the female genitalia by the corpus bursae with a large, sub-triangular signum, and the ductus seminalis with a tuft of spines of different size at base. It is similar to S. pyriformis sp. nov. and S. hamulata sp. nov., and the differences between them are stated in the diagnosis of the preceding two species.

Description. Adult ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 10‒14 ). Wingspan 11.5–15.5 mm. Head with frons silvery white, vertex silvery white mixed with pale ochreous, occiput ochreous. Labial palpus with second segment cream white on inner surface, pale ochreous yellow on outer surface, third segment ochreous yellow. Antenna ochreous, scape silvery white on anterior margin; flagellum with brown scales on anterior margin.Thorax and tegula ochreous yellow, with scattered ochreous brown scales. Forewing brownish ochreous, with three similar ochreous yellow, hook-shaped stripes opening toward base: first stripe from base to beyond middle of fold, then curved inward to basal 1/4 of ventral margin, acutely angled outward at where it is curved; second stripe from distal 1/3 of cell extending along M 2 and M 3 to above distal 1/3 of ventral margin, then curved inward to ventral margin, acutely angled at where it is curved, shortest of three stripes; third stripe from distal 1/3 to 4/5 of costal margin, then curved inward to distal 1/6 of ventral margin; fringe brown. Hindwing dark grey, fringe greyish brown. Foreleg black on outer side, yellowish white on inner side; midleg ochreous yellow dorsally, yellowish white ventrally, tarsus black at apex; hindleg ochreous yellow, tibia ringed with long blackish brown bristles at basal 1/3, 2/3 and apex, mixed with ochreous brown, tarsus ringed with long blackish brown bristles at apex of first tarsomere, mixed with ochreous brown, black at apex. Abdomen greyish brown on dorsal surface, white on ventral surface.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 21‒27 ). Uncus sub-triangular, wide at base, gradually narrowed to rounded apex, with long setae laterally. Gnathos semi-circular, broadly rounded at apex. Tegumen with height approximately 1.3 times length of uncus. Valva wide basally, gradually narrowed toward cucullus; cucullus about half length of valva, elongate elliptical, widened medially, extending obliquely upward; inner process short, hooked; costa roundly produced; sacculus approximately half length of valva, ventral margin concave at basal 1/3, apex obtuse, free from cucullus. Vinculum narrowly banded; saccus U-shaped, short, approximately 1/5 length of uncus. Juxta ovate; anellar lobes elongate conical, twice length of juxta. Aedeagus same length as valva, basal 3/4 almost uniformly wide; distal process slender, 1/4 length of aedeagus, pointed at apex; cornutus consisting of a tuft of differently sized spines ranging from basal 1/5 to 3/5.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 37 View FIGURES 37‒40 ). Intersegmental membrane between papillae anales and eighth abdominal segment approximately twice length of papillae anales. Apophyses posteriores approximately twice length of apophyses anteriores. Eighth segment straight on posterior margin, with long setae; eighth stenite with anterior margin produced sub-triangularly. Antrum sub-quadrate, concave on posterior and anterior margins, heavily sclerotized on anterior margin. Ductus bursae almost uniform, approximately 1/5 length of corpus bursae. Corpus bursae elongate elliptical; signum large, sub-triangular, near bottom of corpus bursae, serrate on long side. Ductus seminalis originating from posterior part of corpus bursae, dilated basally, with a tuft of differently sized spines at base ( Fig. 37a View FIGURES 37‒40 ).

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Etymology. This specific epithet is derived from the Latin tri- and striatus, referring to the three stripes in the forewing.
