This species is primarily Mexican in distribution (Hespenheide 1974, 1979) and is relatively common in southern Arizona, although it has been recorded in the US as far north as Colorado (Nelson et al. 1981). Adults have been collected on Desmodium batocaulon Gray View in CoL ( Fabaceae View in CoL ; Knull 1948).
