Cantabrodrilus Martínez-Ansemil gen. nov.
Type species. Cantabrodrilus pilarae Martínez-Ansemil sp. nov.
Diagnosis. Freshwater subterranean phallodrilines. Somatic setae bifid. Penial setae present, single pointed hook-shaped. Coelomocytes absent. Spermathecal pores in segment X. Vasa deferentia narrow, entering apical ends of atria. Atria tripartite, elongate; ental part strongly muscular, middle part tubular U-shaped, ectal part thin-walled. Two large prostate glands per atrium; the anterior one attached near entrance of vas deferens and the posterior one at ectal end of atrium.
Etymology. The name Cantabrodrilus means that the type species is a “worm” (Greek drilos) from Cantabria.
