167. Neptis nysiades Hewitson, 1868 View in CoL
WL: 25mm. N. nysiades possibly corresponds to a species complex ranging from Senegal to Angola. Under nysiades complex, there are at least a dozen species with distinct caterpillars; however, only an in-depth DNA analysis can clarify the matter. In West Africa this species occurs primarily in semi-deciduous forest and secondary vegetation in damp forests. The caterpillars are known to feed on Sapindaceae .
