Distribution: Worldwide: arctic to tropical waters.

Conservation: CITES – Appendix I; U.S. ESA and IUCN – Endangered.

Discussion: Reviewed by Gambell (1985 b). Rice (1998:77) recognized B. b. quoyi (sic) (Southern Fin Whale).
