Type:— S. loc., ex hort., s.d., Messrs. Veitch & Sons s.n. (lectotype designated by Meneguzzo et al. 2015: W-R 38129!, the only flower specimen in the packet).

In our study of the taxonomy for the Aganisia complex ( Meneguzzo et al. 2015), we published the new combination Aganisia cyanea f. alba (Roeth & O.Gruss) Meneguzzo for a whitish flowered form of Aganisia cyanea ( Lindley 1853: 1) Reichenbach (1869: 720) . Similarly, we also published Warreella cyanea f. alba (Rchb.f.) Meneguzzo as a whitish form of Warreella cyanea ( Lindley 1844: misc. 2) Schlechter (1914: 425). Inadvertently, the combination Aganisia cyanea f. alba should not have been proposed because the epithet “ alba ” in the genus Aganisia Lindley (1839 : misc. 45) had had already been occupied at infraspecific level by the heterotypic Aganisia cyanea var. alba (Rchb.f.) Nicholson (McNeil et al. 2012: art. 53.4, and its examples), which is the earlier combinations for Warreella cyanea f. alba . Thus, to correct this fault, we propose the new name Aganisia cyanea f. albiflora Meneguzzo , based on Acacallis cyanea f. alba Roeth & O.Gruss , to accomplish our original intent.
