Comments. Mesiotelus currently comprises 20 species distributed from the Western Mediterranean to southeastern Kyrgyzstan and Eastern China (Henan, Hebei and Beijing) ( WSC 2024). Mesiotelus pococki Caporiacco, 1949 , described based on female specimens from Kenya, appears to be misplaced. At least in some species, we noticed variations in the length of the male chelicerae and in the epigyne, particularly the size of the anterior hood and the angle formed between the lateral margins. Some species have noticeably elongated male palps (see Zamani & Marusik 2021a: fig. 11E).
