Material examined. holotype female, Taihorin, Formosa [= Taiwan], China, 0 4. 1910, H. Sauter leg., DEI. Distribution. China (Zhejiang, Fujian, Sichuan [ Wei 2003], Taiwan).
Diagnosis. Body length 8.5mm. Black, yellow-white are: distinct spots on dorsal parts of thorax, an anterior spot on ventral side of mesepisternum, broad longitudinal band on middle part of mesepisternum, medial triangular spots on posterior parts of all tergites, anterior spots and posterior parts on deflexed lateral sides of all tergites, posterior parts of all sternites; anterior margin of clypeus black-brown; antennae black, white are: ventral sides of scape and pedicel, apex of flagellomere 4 and the last 3 flagellomeres, flagellomere 1 much longer than flagellomere 2; legs red-brown, white are: all trochanters, pro- and mesotibiae, tarsi, apical 1/2 of hind tarsomere 1, all of tarsomeres 2–5; black are: faint posterior stripes from apex of pro- and mesotibiae to apex of tarsomere 5, irregular spots on outer sides of all coxae, inner part on apical 1/3 of metefemur, apical 1/4 of metatibia, basal 1/2 of hind tarsomere 1. Punctures on frontal area and inner orbits a little dense, distinct, interspace with microsculpture and luster; punctures on upper corner of mesepisternum large, coarse, interspaces with distinct sculpture, on lower part minute, dense, shining (figs. 7a, 7b).
