Macrophya emdeni Forsius, 1931: 27 –28; [female]; type locality: China (Sichuan). Pachyprotasis emdeni: Malaise (1945: 141) , Saini, (2007: 62).
Material examined. 1 female, Jindin, Mt. Emei, Sichuan Province (103°04΄E, 29°06΄N, Alt. 3077m), 13. 0 6. 2007, Zhang Shaobin leg.
Distribution. China (Sichuan: Forsius, 1931)
Diagnosis. Body length 12.5mm. Black, white are: distinct spots on dorsal parts of thorax, an anteroventral spot and another posterodorsal spot on mesepisternum, large spots on each side of pectus, medial triangular spots on posterior parts of all tergites and sternites, posterior parts of deflexed lateral sides of all tergites; antennae black, white are: all of flagellomeres 4 and 5, base of flagellomere 6; flagellomere 1 a little longer than flagellomere 2; legs black, all trochanters, profemur except apical 3/5 on dorsal part, basal 2/ 5 of meso- and metefemur, broad rings on all tibiae, tarsi except apex of each tarsomere 1and extremely apex of tarsomere 2. Mesoscutellum prismatic, strongly elevated, with wide and shallow middle furrow. Punctures on dorsal part of head coarse and dense, space between punctures with distinct sculpture; upper part of mesepisternum with large and deep punctures, punctures on lower part minute, shallow (figs. 5a, 5b). Lancet with 24 annuli, middle serrula with 2 anterior and 12–14 posterior sub-basal teeth, the 9th to 10th serrulae as in Fig. 5 View FIGURES 5 c.
